Week 9 has been hot, dry and sunny and we have spent a lot of time watering our gardens.

We also got to harvest some of our flat leaf parsley and take it home to share with our families.

Enviro Kids Week 8 Term 1 2014

This week we have been watering our edible gardens once again.

Due to the dry weather we are holding off from planting anything more at this stage. We have discussed our role as responsible Enviro Kids and decided it would be best to wait a little longer.

We are taking good care of the plants we already have.

Enviro Kids Week 6 & 7 Teerm 1 2014

Kia Ora Whanau! Our fabulous Enviro Kids have been busy over the past two weeks caring for our edible gardens.

They have been watering and weeding and planting and fertilizing our gardens to help all our plants grow bigger and better than before!

Hello Everyone!

This week we have been sustaining our edible gardens by planting seedlings in the gardens outside Room 7.

We have planted red chard and perpetual spinach.

We have had a busy week preparing the ground for our next planting.

We have also created two strawberry beds from the plants that remained from our last year's crop.

We have been learning about runners and how they can create the next plants.
