Enviro Kids Final Harvest week 8 Term 4 2013

Kia Ora Whanau!

Those amazing Enviro Kids worked really hard on Wednesday and achieved sooooo much!
Neither snow, nor sleet, nor rain pouring down could stop them.

They harvested the potatoes and the silverbeet.

Dug out the strawberry plants and put them in a bucket with some soil to take home and nurture them for even more strawberries.

Made and drank strawberry smoothies with the strawberries we had harvested and kept in the freezer until we had enough for everyone. Yum, yum, yum they tasted great! Thank you Mrs Hart for the idea.

Completed and created even more fabulous art from recycled bottle tops. Thank you Bob for all your help with the drilling of holes!

And not only all that, but, they also cooked up a storm of delicious new potatoes with mint, (also taken from our gardens), and ate them with butter. Great work Enviro Kids! You Rock!

That was our final day for Enviro Kids for the year and we want to thank everyone who has supported us and encouraged us to keep on making a difference in our school gardens. Have a wonderful break over the summer holidays and we look forward to another amazing year in 2014!
