They have all helped to plant out some new lettuce seedlings as well as renewing our Butterfly Garden with new swan plants.
We have planted our veges in small pots so that we only use a small amount of water and so that the water goes to our plants instead of soaking down into the whole garden.
We discussed the water shortage and how much water is wasted, down our drains, from the drinking fountains. From our discussions we decided to put trays under the fountains to collect the water. This has been very successful and the gardens are getting the benefit.
What a fantastic idea to use the water that would otherwise be wasted down the drain! I am going to try that in the senior school area, too!
